media ablutions

the abnegation of positive ideoligies and abject personification of trends seem to be a media propaganda,,,, often the main stream media at large in India projects the horendous realities on the front page and hides the subtle yet significant acts in the abstruse and dull middle pages.... often the size of orbituary notices,,,,, affectations might find a place in the page 3 but its rare to notice the aboriginal movements of everyday life,,,, the evolution of a nation captured worldwide in 'special' reports beckons second hand articles from the nation's best media companies,,,,, i have read this, said this and heard it repeated in my mind everyday as i google for India news,,,, its always a scandulous politician or a new militant act that captures the coloured headlines.... I remember hearing about a cover story of grass root development project in an Israeli mainstream news daily... what caught my attention was that it had been featured on a day where shelling was rampant and bombs had exploded in Isearali cities and gaza,,,,, that was reported as well,,,, but it found its place in the black and white dull columns past page 3..... thats wat i would call positive media proporganda,,,, reporting the facts but establishing a trend for the future,,,, i wish the Indian media would mature to understand the significance of positive futuristic jouralism

UN security council

India's bid for a seat in the security council seems to be an issue contentious and legitimate,,,,the global community has more than a sincere outlook towards the fast growing fine tuned mamoth democratic machinery which accounts for 1/5th of the world's population,,,, in a global community governed by economics of power, the legitimacy of the claim is profounded by the stability and staunchly peace loving history of our nation,,,, its just a matter of time before India becomes a key player in the multipolar global scene to come

Words of great monk Swami Vivekananda.

Laziness, meanness, and hypocrisy have covered the whole length and breadth of the country. Can an intelligent man look on all this and remain quiet? Does it not bring tears to the eyes?...
Therefore I say, first rouse the inherent power of the Atman within you.

"I want iron wills and hearts that do not know how to quake."

"You may meditate on whatever you like, but I shall meditate on the heart of a lion. That gives strength."

"Give me a few men and women who are pure and selfless and I shall shake the world"

STOP BECOMING WEAK

Strength, Strength, it is that we want so much in this life, for what we call sin and sorrow have all one cause, and that is our weakness. With weakness comes ignorance, and with ignorance comes miesery. Never be weak. You must be strong; you have infinite strength within you. Never think there is anything impossible for the soul. It is the greatest heresy to think so. If there is sin, this is only sin to say that you are weak. The only saint is that soul that never weakens and faces everything.

All weakness, all bondages is imagination... Do not weaken!....Stand up and be strong! That is all the religion I know. Know that all sins and all evils can be summed up that one word, weakness. It is weakness that is the motive power in all evil doing; it is weakness that is the source of all selfishness; it is weakness that makes men injure others; it is weakness that makes them manifest what they are not in reality.

The weak have no place here, in this life or in any other life. Weakness leads to slavery. Weakness leads to all kinds of misery, physical and mental. Weakness is death. The greatest sin is to think yourself weak. What we want is strength, so believe in yourselves... Make your nerves strong. What we want is muscles of iron and nerves of steel. We have wept long enough. No more weeping, but stand on your own feet and be men.

Strength is the medicine for the world's disease. Strength is the medicine which the poor must have when tyrannised over by the rich. Strength is the medicine that the ignorant must have when oppressed by the learned. Arise, awake! Awake from this hypnotism of weakness. None is really weak; the soul is infinite, omnipotent and omniscient. Stand up, assert yourself, proclaim the God within you, do not deny Him! Too much of inactivity, too much of weakness, too much of hypnotism has been and is upon our race...Dehypnotise yourselves. The way to do that is found in your own sacred books.

Teach yourselves, teach everyone his real nature, call upon the sleeping soul and see how it awakens. Power will come, glory will come, goodness will come, and everything that is excellent will come when this sleeping soul is roused to self conscious activity. The infnite strength of the world is yours. Drive out the superstition that has covered your minds. Let us be brave.

First of all, our young men must be strong, Religion will come afterwards. Be strong, my young friends; that is my advice to you. You will be nearer to heaven through football than through the study of Gita. These are bold words; but I have to say them, for I love you. I know where the shoe pinches. I have gained a little experience. You will understand the Gita better with your biceps, your muscles a little stronger. You will understand the mighty genius and the mighty strength of Krishna better with a little of strong blood in you. You will understand the Upanishads better and glory of the Atman when your body stands firm upon your feet, and you feel yourselves as men.

That is all I have to say to the world. Be strong!... The sign of life is strength and growth. The sign of death is weakness. Whatever is weak, avoid! It is death! IF IT IS STRENGTH, GO DOWN INTO HELL AND GET HOLD OF IT.

daVinci et al!!!!!

seen the movie, read the book, even watched the hysteria, the history channel 'special' documentaries,,,, the truth behind the 'code',,, the crusades, the templars, the holy grail,,,,,well!!!! its been a eye opener all the way and that has nothing to do with what the book has to say,,,, its just the current of facts that gave a new, daring perspective to the past,,, to empires, to royalty, to faith and to some inevitable 'truth'

suprisingly it all comes back ,,, the world we live in is round, the specific gravity drives the water droplet round and in precisely the same way the facts made me go back to my forever beliefs, only strenghtening the reality that therz good and bad and the blah blah of how there two sides to a coin,,,, ther r two to this whole code business too,,, the take home message for me was definetely to never believe sensationalised ideoligies. To never look to a historical trivia and go,,,, ohhhh so thats the truth,,, history is as much a mystery as it used to be in the conflicting and erroneuos school texts,,,,,, two important facts,,,,,, facts are like numbers in a math problem, they may be unchallenged but they dont always give the whole truth,,,,number two is almost the obvious,,,, Leonardo da vinci, painter, artist, engineer, scientist was a great man just for his pragmatic and i have to say scientific approach to life,,,,

the good part about this book for me was that it forced us to look back at what lies in the past and probably learn a lesson or two from it,,, ,none of what i read and saw was a novel concept or a hidden 'code',,, it was all there in the public library across the street or rather even easier in the 'google' world in my lap,,, what it triggered in me was a desire to know and read more,,,,, fact, fiction, drama, belief,,,, it just made me introspect and wake up to wat lies beneath,,,,, im glad i read the book and followed on the historical hysteria, atleast now i have a fair idea of how things might have worked back then or how things might work in the future,,,, that for me was the only 'code' it cracked

javaani ka budaapa!!!

as my dad puts it,,,, thats the sydrome that i feel a majority of youth may b suffering from,,, could be a result of temendous underutilised talent or just unrealised,,, or could simply b a lack of interest and as they all generally put it,, general boredom in life,,, but its a double edged sword again,,,, youth,,,, therz this great "quest" for somethin and evrythin from the cliche teens to tweens transition,,,, i remember (and i hv by no means come out of that phase) how everythin was a challenge so easily taken,,,, evrythin from politics, to sports, to debating, to simple science euphoria, from lucky ali to ann ryand,,, and now all of a sudden those r all "good 'old' days",,
its a realisation, almost a subconscious truth of how things have changed and moved on,, and there arives the term,,, "javaani ka budaapa",,,, but its beserk how night outs and radical theoligies still reign the ever introspective mind,,,, therz a different feel to it all as we enter from the transience to yet another begining,,, a newer realisation and call from a newer horizon,,,, almost like a deferentiated stem cell ,,,feels gr8 to atleast emerge a phoenix from the ashes of utter suckin boredom

Concentration & life!!!

thats been the struggle and biggest achievement of mankind from the days of the Bhagavad Gita,,,, how in pete's sake do we focus our ever intrigued and often confused mind,,,forever in the lab i should have learnt to concentrate and control these off shooted fission reactor of a mind ...but that i am afraid has never happened,,, i realise that everytime i have a failed an expt or every time i make an error in judgement while driving,,, be it at 40 or 120kmph,,, its just so crucial but then ,,,, therz so much that it wants to c and explore ,,,, i wish i could just say STOP!!! funnel it out into a single array of organised current,,,, just think how deadly the precision and efficacy of that would be ,,,, well thats a timepass for life ,,, :-D... lets hope i get it fixed someday,,,,,
